Email & notifications

Compare included quotas, restrictions and official provider documentation.

Free allowance

Resend Free: 3,000 transactional emails/month, 100/day, 3 domains and 10,000 automation runs

Keep in mind

Free has a hard daily send cap and 30-day data retention. Pay-as-you-go email overages are only available on paid subscriptions, not an automatic unlimited Free extension. Verify sender domains and deliverability; extra domains, dedicated IPs and higher daily limits require paid plans.

Free allowance

Brevo Free: 300 emails sent/day and storage for up to 100,000 contacts, with no plan expiry

Keep in mind

Unused daily sends do not roll over. Campaigns above 300 recipients require manually requeuing remaining contacts; transactional messages can queue up to 1,000 excess sends. Free includes Brevo branding, 1 account user, basic reporting and up to 2,000 unique contacts entering automations. Paid plan required for higher quotas and advanced features.

Free allowance

Free inbound email forwarding for custom domains on Workers Free and Workers Paid; unlimited inbound routed emails

Keep in mind

Email Routing is inbound-only; arbitrary outbound Email Sending requires Workers Paid. Sending to verified destination addresses in your own account is free, but it is not a public transactional sending API. Routing via Email Workers consumes Workers usage separately; configure domain DNS/email routing correctly.

Free allowance

10,000 workflow runs/month on Novu Cloud Free; up to 20 workflows, 2 environments (Dev/Prod), 3 team members and all notification channels

Keep in mind

No credit card required. Free activity-feed retention is 24 hours and event trigger throughput is limited to 60/sec. Free includes US/EU data residency; removing Novu branding, seven-day retention and increased workflow throughput require a paid plan. Email/SMS delivery providers may charge separately.

Free allowance

10,000 notifications/month; unlimited notification channels and team members; in-app feed, workflow branching, lists and broadcasts

Keep in mind

30-day premium-feature trial transitions to ongoing Free; SuprSend branding on in-app feed; multi-channel delivery counts each user/channel separately; email/SMS providers may charge separately; free over-limit sends may continue pending contact from SuprSend; explicit commercial-use terms not confirmed.

Free allowance

10,000 notification sends/month; Journeys and broadcasts; SDKs, CLI and MCP server; Google and GitHub SSO

Keep in mind

Beyond the free monthly allowance, Business pricing is $0.005 per send; downstream email/SMS provider charges may apply. Credit-card requirement and explicit commercial-use terms for Developer not confirmed.

Free allowance

6,000 emails/month; 200 emails/day; up to 1,000 contacts; API, SMTP relay and event webhooks

Keep in mind

Free support is limited to the first month; daily cap applies and advanced features or removal of branding require a paid plan. Explicit commercial-use terms for Free are unconfirmed.

Free allowance

Free push notification delivery through Expo to FCM and APNs; 600 notifications/second per project; 100 notifications per API request

Keep in mind

Requires valid Expo push tokens and platform push credentials; no delivery SLA or guarantee of receipt on the device; Expo Go on Android requires a development build for remote push notifications. Commercial-use terms not independently confirmed.

Free allowance

10,000 emails/month; mobile push and in-app messaging for up to 1,000 monthly active users; web push up to 10,000 subscribers per send.

Keep in mind

Free mobile MAU cap applies from October 2026; paid messaging and advanced features are separate.

Free allowance

500 transactional emails per month (up to 100 emails/day); 100 API requests/day; 1 sending domain, 1 API token, 1 webhook and 1 template.

Keep in mind

A credit card and account approval are required to activate Free, although the plan is $0. Sending pauses at the quota until reset; 14-day Professional trial is separate and downgrades to Free. Hosted Free commercial-use conditions require confirmation.

Free allowance

Free MIT-licensed local/self-hosted SMTP capture and email-testing server with a web inbox, message search, REST API, HTML/link checks and Docker or single-binary deployment; no vendor software quota.

Keep in mind

For development and staging email testing, not a managed email delivery provider. Default automatic pruning retains the latest 500 messages; protect the SMTP and web UI with authentication/network controls, especially when using optional relay/forwarding. You operate any hosting infrastructure.

Free allowance

200 email API requests/month; 2 templates, 1 user seat, 500 contacts and 7-day email history

Keep in mind

Free tier is positioned for testing and small projects; requests over monthly limit are dropped. No attachments or custom domain whitelist on Free; commercial-use terms require confirmation.

Free allowance

Free MIT-licensed open-source self-hostable email application with a unified inbox, external email-provider integrations and optional AI-assisted features; no license fee or vendor-provided hosting quota for self-running the code.

Keep in mind

This is an email app/client, not a free hosted mailbox or SMTP delivery service. Self-hosting requires Node.js, PostgreSQL, Docker and appropriate configuration; Gmail/Outlook access, Google OAuth, AI models, Cloudflare storage/workers, Twilio, Autumn or other integrations may require credentials and incur separate charges. MIT copyright/license notices apply.
