Important restrictions

Self-hosting does not include a free domain, VPS, mailbox, SMTP relay or outbound delivery. Bundled mailserver needs DNS and reachable mail ports; API-only mode needs an external catch-all mailbox. Ordinary mail defaults to 30-day retention. Secure API tokens and TLS; provider limits and infrastructure costs apply.
